1 John Psalms Sermons

Morning Worship Service (March 21, 2021)

All our treasures on earth will be eaten away by moth and rust and decay. What things on earth will be in heaven? Nothing except those who do the will of God in his word; those who love their brothers and sisters in Christ; and those who do not love the things in the world, but love God’s promise of dwelling in heaven and delighting in all things there forever.

1 John Isaiah Sermons

Morning Worship Service (March 28, 2021, Palm Sunday)

John calls all unbelievers “antichrists” because they all deny the full humanity and full divinity of Jesus. They either believe that Jesus is only God or only man, not both. Holy War (But Not THAT Holy War)

We are in the midst of a holy war, but not a physical war against our enemies. Our war is of the spiritual kind against the devil and his fallen angels and against those who hate our God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Be strong in the Lord, stand firm, and pray without ceasing. And God will complete our victory at the end of this age.

“How Precious is Your Steadfast Love, O God!”

The coronavirus and all the evil and sufferings in the world does not mean the world is about to end, but are mere birth pains leading to the joy of childbirth (Matt 24:6-8). And that childbirth is the return of our Lord Jesus Christ from heaven to free us from sin and sufferings in this world.
